About

Why ClipLime exists

Small creative jobs shouldn't need a subscription, an installer or an upload bar.

Every creator knows the routine: you need to shave ten megabytes off a clip, pull the audio out of a recording or turn a landscape video vertical. The job takes thirty seconds, but first you have to find a tool, make an account, upload a huge file, wait in a queue and then discover a watermark on the result.

ClipLime skips all of that. Browsers can now decode and encode video and audio on your own hardware, run speech recognition locally and record your screen. We package those abilities into 33 focused tools that each do one job well.

What we care about

  • Privacy by design. Your files are processed on your device. We couldn't look at them if we wanted to. Here's exactly how that works.
  • Clarity. Every tool opens with sensible defaults and only shows the settings that matter. When something can't be done in a browser, we say so instead of failing silently.
  • Real quality. No watermarks, no forced downscaling, no artificial limits.
  • Speed. Where your browser supports it, encoding uses your graphics hardware, so most exports run faster than real time.

Who it's for

YouTubers cutting talking-head videos, podcasters cleaning up episodes, short-form creators reformatting clips for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, editors who need a quick timecode or bitrate answer, teachers recording lessons and anyone who just needs a file in a different shape.
